Pacific Gateway Center named Finalist in Chaminade University's Hogan/American Savings Bank Non-Business Plan Competition

PGC Bottling- Pacific Gateway Center’s Culinary Business Incubator–The objective of Pacific Gateway Center Bottling is to provide a local quality bottling service, complementing Pacific Gateway Center’s Culinary Business Incubator operations, to meet the needs of new-start-up businesses or existing food manufactures (sauces, drinks and syrups) looking to increase the scale of their operations.  This program will decrease the numerous significant financial barriers that small scale food manufactures face due to the high cost of labor.


Hawaii Food MAnufacturers Association Taste Awards

On June 14, 2014, the Hawaii Food Manufacturers Association held its first-ever Taste Awards to honor outstanding companies in Hawaii's food industry.  Co-sponsored by the Hawai'i Department of Agriculture, the awards recognized individuals, companies and products that demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation and contribution to the manufacturing industry and to the community.

Pacific Gateway Center was honored to have been recognized as its first recipient of its Community Service Award.  This award was given to the organization that made a significant contribution to improve the well-being of the local community through projects and services and encourages active employee involvement in the community through service projects and programs.

In December 2014, the City and County of Honolulu awarded a Certificate recognizing PGC's Executive Director, Dr. Tin Myaing Thein for her service and dedication to the City and County of Honolulu and the non-profit industry.  The Certificate reads, "she continues to give back to Hawaii through PGC by helping newcomers find their footing, fostering and nurturing the American dream for so many.  She is the force behind the efforts to improve Hawaii's economic development of Hawaii refugee and low-income populations."
