Gigi Farms, one of the farming businesses at PGC Farms, recently received a new tractor valued at approximately $67,000 through the Hawaii Good Food Alliance Grant, following a successful application completed with Pacific Gateway Center’s assistance. The tractor has been delivered to the farm and will support daily agricultural work.

This marks the third successful tractor grant application PGC has helped a farmer complete, expanding access to equipment that can be difficult for small farmers to afford.

For farmers, navigating grant applications can present challenges alongside the demands of running a farm. PGC helps connect farmers with funding opportunities and supports them through the application process, helping turn those opportunities into practical resources.

The new tractor represents an investment in Gigi Farms’ livelihood and ability to grow food for our community. It also illustrates how PGC’s support extends beyond access to farmland to help farmers strengthen their businesses.
