A mission-driven leader with over a decade of experience advancing equity and economic opportunity across nonprofit, clean energy, and entrepreneurial sectors.
Originally from Brazil, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality and a certificate in Business & Entrepreneurship from UCLA.
Mayra has led high-impact, community-based initiatives, including programs funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, with a focus on empowering underserved communities. As Deputy Director at Pacific Gateway Center, she oversees Social Enterprise Programs that support small business owners, immigrant farmers, micro-entrepreneurs on their path to long-term self-sufficiency.
Trilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, Mayra brings a deep commitment to culturally responsive programming, sustainability, and inclusive economic development.
